Sunset Cliffs and Beaches

Officially named Sunset Cliffs Park, the Sunset Cliffs and Beaches run west of Sunset Cliffs Boulevard from Point Loma Ave south to Ladera Street. There is street parking all along the cliffs, with some smaller lots on the northern end, and a bigger lot on Ladera Street.

The small "cove beaches" or "pocket beaches" are at the bottom of some spots of the cliffs. The beaches are usually much larger at low tide.

There is a beach at the bottom of long winding stairs at Ladera Street, which is popular with surfers.

There is a nice beach near Guizot Street, but it's a dangerous climb down the cliffs to get to it.

Be sure to check out the Sunset Cliffs Sculpture Rock near the Guizot Street Beach.

There is usually good street and lot parking, and a port-o-potty in the Ladera Street lot, but no lifeguards or other facilities.
