Sand Blasters San Diego Filming Locations

The Travel Channel's show Sand Blasters The Extreme Sand Sculpting Championship was filmed at The Beach at Pacific Beach on September 30th and October 1st, 2006.

On the show several teams compete to build the best sand sculpture, with the added difficulty of a random sculpture being blown up every few hours.

Having previously seen shows filmed in San Diego I can say that this was one of the better ones for bystanders. They had multiple nice big areas for anyone to watch from, including a big sand dune you could stand on. They would even let you get up fairly close to the sculpting action when they weren't blowing things up.
