(an email from Kung Food on April 1, 2007)

UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT

Kung Food Express Caf? will be closed (temporarily?) as of April 1st, 2007. Regrettably, we, the management team and creative voices behind the latest incarnation of Kung Food (Nov 2005? Mar 2007), will no longer be involved with the restaurant. At this time, we are unsure what the owners have in mind for the location but hope that whatever they decide to do will continue to be a boon to the community and to the people in search of healthy, affordable, and environmentally conscious fare.

THANK YOU

We wholeheartedly thank our loyal customers for their support and contribution to the inspiring ideals behind Kung Food. We appreciate the valuable input and suggestions we have received from our customers that helped make our idea a success and an inspiration to other like-minded and socially conscious entrepreneurs.

IN STORES NOW:

We are happy to announce that many of the wraps and specialty ?grab ?n go? items we have created are now available at a Jimbo?s near you and will soon be featured in Whole Foods stores across Southern California! Please look for them in the deli case.

At 5pm on Friday, June 2nd 2006, Kung Food will begin offering table service with a completely new dinner menu! We will be featuring this dinner menu every Thursday & Friday night, thereafter. Please note, our usual buffet will be unavailable on these nights. However, the Drive Thru will remain open for those looking for a quick veggie fix!

I love the soy soft serve; it tastes creamier than Tofutti. It's nice to sit back and enjoy this summer delight under an umbrella on the outdoor patio.
