Black's Beach

Black's Beach is in the Torrey Pines area of La Jolla. It is officially made up of the Torrey Pines City Beach (owned by the City of San Diego) and the southern most beach section of the Torrey Pines State Beach (owned by the State of California).

Black's Beach is famous for great surfing and being a clothing optional beach. These are both made better by the secluded location of Black's Beach.

If you are interested in Black's Beach as a clothing optional beach it would be best to check with a resource such as Black's Beach Bares for the official rules regarding this.

On the cliffs above the beach is the Torrey Pines Gliderport.

You can get to the beach by walking down the beach from the Torrey Pines State Beach, waking up the beach from the Beach at La Jolla Shores, or climbing the perilous stairs down the cliff from the glider port.

There are often lifeguards at a temporary lifeguard stand during the busy summer months.

There are no facilities at Black's Beach besides a beautiful secluded beach.
